Matt Timms Youth Pastor
Matt and Sally Timms moved to Newquay from Buckinghamshire in 2000 after spending a year in Australia and developing a deep passion for the ocean and surfing. They wandered into the NCC looking for somewhere to get married and after receiving such a warm welcome they felt instantly at home in the Church. They both knew that this was the place that god wanted them to be. It was shortly after this time that Matt received a call to work with young people and this fuelled a real desire to see them reach their potential in God and to contagiously live out their faith in Jesus in their generation. Matt started working for the Church in 2003 within the Turnaround Project. He then moved into the role of Youth Pastor in September 2006 and now oversees the multi-faceted H20 youth program within NCC. At the same time he was also accepted by the Elim movement as a Minister in Training.

Mark Howarth Elder
Verses from the book of Ezra became the pivotal points in Mark and Mari Howarth’s lives during 1988, when God called them to the UK from South Africa Eventually they landed in Cornwall not sure if this was where the Lord was leading them until Mari “found” NCC through a series of God-incidences. Here Mark was born-again and they found their spiritual home. Mark has been in business most of his life, and is now using his gifting and experience to serve the Lord in the capacity of elder. Mari is a gifted lay preacher holding a License to Minister Credential with Elim
