Oasis House (Turnaround)

"Turnaround is the best place. It’s so warm & welcoming and the staff are AWESOME! I love it.." (Harry, resident.)

Oasis House has emerged out of our Turnaround Project which we began in 2004, a residential project that had the privilege of working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who required support with housing needs and general independent living skills.

Now with a wider remit, our Oasis House Project comprises of ten units of self-contained accommodation along with communal living areas. Our aim is to promote a sense of community among the residents; to effectively advise and guide them through any issues or barriers in their lives; to signpost them to other relevant agencies; to equip them with the necessary skills to live independently and to address any factors that may have a negative impact on their personal well-being. A referral pack is available for those who would like to be considered. It should also be noted that we accept the Cornwall Council Single Referral Form.

Residents receive support from a great staff team who all bring a different set of skills and experience to the project, but who all share one thing in common, to see our young people empowered, equipped and motivated to move forward with their lives.  Residents are encouraged to cultivate a greater respect and self-worth for themselves, and a deeper respect and understanding of others, while staff seek to establish and promote a culture of unconditional love and acceptance to all who enter or reside at Oasis House.
